HGMS® School Support Fund Returns – £500 Available in 2025

As part of our ongoing commitment to reinvest in our community, Han Guk Mu Sool® is proud to announce the return of the HGMS® School Support Fund for 2025.

This is Year Two of a growing initiative to back the incredible work being done across our Association – from new starter programmes and community outreach, to equipment upgrades and student development. One school will be awarded £500 to help turn ideas into reality and continue raising the standard across the HGMS® family.

💷 What’s on Offer?

One HGMS® school will receive a £500 funding award to support a clearly defined project or improvement plan. The fund is open to all schools currently registered with HGMS®.

We’re looking to support something purposeful – something that will make a meaningful difference to your school, your students, or your surrounding community.

Whether you want to:

• Launch a new initiative or class programme

• Upgrade your training space or student equipment

• Deliver outreach to local schools or community groups

• Support students in hardship

• Develop new learning resources...this is your opportunity to bring it to life.

🏆 Why We Created the Fund

From the very beginning, HGMS® has been about more than just martial arts. As stated in our founding vision:

“When the Association was born we committed to re-investing the money we generate back into our Schools, the Association, and other worthy causes.”

The School Support Fund is one of the ways we live that commitment. It’s about giving back. It’s about recognising the work you do every week to build strong, resilient, humble martial artists – and giving you a platform to do even more.

Last year’s entries were incredibly inspiring. The winning proposal showed how even a small amount of funding could have a lasting impact when paired with vision and commitment. In 2025, we want to go further.

• Winner Announced: End of November 2025

✅ Who Can Apply?

The fund is open to:

• Any school currently registered and in good standing with HGMS®

• Any instructor or school owner looking to bring positive impact to their students or community

Only one application per school will be considered.

• Describe your school and its current goals

• Outline what the £500 will be used for

• Explain the potential impact this funding could make

We’re not looking for polished presentations, just clarity, sincerity, and a plan we can support.
